Job Summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Administrative Assistant to support the Department of Air Force. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of medical administrative processes, providing efficient support to healthcare providers, and maintaining accurate patient records. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain confidential patient records and medical documentation in compliance with Air Force and federal regulations.

  • Schedule patient appointments, coordinate medical procedures, and communicate effectively with medical staff and patients.

  • Process medical correspondence, reports, and official documentation with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Assist healthcare providers with administrative tasks, including preparing patient charts, entering data into electronic health records (EHR), and managing medical inventory.

  • Serve as a liaison between the Department of Air Force medical teams and external stakeholders.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive medical information and ensure compliance with HIPAA and DoD policies.

  • Perform general office duties, including answering phones, managing emails, and coordinating meetings or briefings.

  • Provide excellent customer service and support to patients, visitors, and military personnel.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associates or Bachelors degree in Health Administration or related field preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with electronic health record systems.

  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic administrative procedures.


Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in medical administrative support or healthcare office administration.

  • Prior experience working with military medical facilities or government agencies is highly desirable.

  • Experience with scheduling software, record-keeping systems, and administrative workflow processes.


Working Hours

  • Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

  • Occasional extended hours may be required based on operational needs.

  • Flexibility for shift adjustments in compliance with Department of Air Force requirements.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of administrative procedures, patient record management, and office operations.

  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure and handle sensitive information with discretion.

  • Proactive problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with military personnel, healthcare providers, and patients.
