Job Summary

Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd is seeking a highly organized and proactive Administrative Assistant to join our team. This entry-level role is designed for individuals who are detail-oriented, efficient, and eager to support day-to-day office operations. The Administrative Assistant will provide vital administrative support to various departments, ensuring seamless workflow, accurate record-keeping, and effective communication across teams. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general administrative duties including filing, data entry, and document management.

  • Draft, proofread, and format official correspondence, reports, and presentations.

  • Manage and maintain schedules, appointments, and meeting arrangements.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for internal and external communications.

  • Support the preparation and coordination of departmental projects and initiatives.

  • Maintain office supplies, equipment, and inventory records.

  • Assist with record-keeping, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Facilitate the smooth flow of information between departments and management.

  • Provide ad hoc support to team members and leadership as needed.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • National Senior Certificate (NSC) or equivalent; relevant tertiary qualifications in Administration, Business Management, or related fields are an advantage.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are an asset.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.

  • Professional demeanor and the ability to maintain confidentiality.


Experience

  • Entry-level candidates are welcome.

  • Previous administrative or office support experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

  • Internships or practical experience in administrative or office settings will be considered a plus.


Working Hours

  • Standard office hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00.

  • Flexibility may occasionally be required to support departmental deadlines.
