Job Summary

Startup Inno is seeking a highly skilled and results-driven WordPress / WooCommerce Specialist (Freelance) to support the development, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of e-commerce websites. This role is ideal for an experienced freelancer who is passionate about building scalable online stores, enhancing user experience, and driving conversion through robust WordPress and WooCommerce solutions. You will work closely with founders, designers, and marketing teams to deliver high-quality e-commerce projects for diverse clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites with a strong focus on WooCommerce e-commerce functionality.

• Build and optimize product pages, checkout flows, payment gateways, and shipping configurations.

• Customize themes and plugins to meet business and branding requirements.

• Ensure website performance, speed optimization, mobile responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.

• Implement security best practices, backups, and updates for WordPress core, themes, and plugins.

• Integrate third-party tools such as payment processors, CRM, analytics, email marketing, and inventory systems.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to WordPress, WooCommerce, and hosting environments.

• Collaborate with designers and marketing teams to implement SEO, UX/UI, and conversion optimization improvements.

• Provide documentation, training, and post-launch support as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong expertise in WordPress and WooCommerce development.

• Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.

• Experience with WooCommerce extensions, custom plugins, and theme customization.

• Knowledge of website performance optimization, caching, and CDN integration.

• Familiarity with SEO best practices for e-commerce websites.

• Experience with Git/version control and staging/production environments.

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).

Experience

• Minimum 2–4 years of hands-on experience working with WordPress and WooCommerce.
