HCLTech is seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Engineer Trainees (GETs) in Civil and Mechanical Engineering to support large-scale infrastructure, construction, and industrial site operations. This role is designed for fresh graduates who are eager to build a strong foundation in site execution, project coordination, quality control, and safety compliance. As a GET, you will receive structured training, hands-on exposure to real-world projects, and mentorship from experienced professionals, preparing you for a successful long-term engineering career with HCLTech.
Assist site engineers and project managers in day-to-day site operations and execution activities.
Support planning, scheduling, and monitoring of civil or mechanical works as per project timelines.
Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth site activities.
Monitor work progress, material usage, and manpower deployment at project sites.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
Participate in site inspections, measurements, and preparation of daily/weekly progress reports.
Support implementation of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines at site.
Assist in resolving on-site technical issues under guidance of senior engineers.
Maintain proper documentation related to drawings, work permits, and site records.
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
Strong understanding of basic engineering principles, construction methods, and site practices.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Willingness to work at project sites and adapt to dynamic working environments.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); basic knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
Strong problem-solving ability and eagerness to learn.
Fresh graduates or candidates with 0–1 year of relevant site or internship experience are encouraged to apply.
Internship or academic project exposure in construction, infrastructure, plant operations, or maintenance will be an added advantage.
Full-time role.
Standard site working hours, typically 8–9 hours per day, 6 days a week (project-dependent).
Flexibility to work in shifts or extended hours during critical project phases, as required.
Basic knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and site safety practices.
Understanding of quality control and inspection procedures.
Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions from senior engineers.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Willingness to travel or relocate to project locations as required.
