Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join the Strategy & Planning team. This role plays a critical part in providing data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making, optimize business processes, and enhance organizational performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and deliver actionable recommendations to senior management. Collect, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources to support strategic initiatives and operational planning.
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings effectively to management and stakeholders.
Conduct trend analysis, forecasting, and scenario modeling to support decision-making processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges and recommend data-driven solutions.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare periodic reports for senior leadership.
Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data used for strategic planning.
Support the development and implementation of strategic projects by providing timely insights and analysis.
Stay updated on industry trends, data analytics tools, and best practices to enhance data analysis capabilities.
Bachelors degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Strong proficiency in data analytics tools such as SQL, Python, R, or Power BI.
Experience with statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and data visualization techniques.
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear, concise manner.
Attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
Knowledge of the energy sector or utility industry is a plus.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or strategic planning roles.
Proven track record of working with large datasets and delivering actionable insights to senior management.
Experience in using data to drive business decisions and support strategic initiatives.
Full-time position, Monday to Friday.
Standard office hours with flexibility depending on project requirements.
Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and database management.
Ability to perform complex quantitative analyses and generate meaningful reports.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
