Job Summary

Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join the Strategy & Planning team. This role plays a critical part in providing data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making, optimize business processes, and enhance organizational performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and deliver actionable recommendations to senior management. Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources to support strategic initiatives and operational planning.

• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings effectively to management and stakeholders.

• Conduct trend analysis, forecasting, and scenario modeling to support decision-making processes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges and recommend data-driven solutions.

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare periodic reports for senior leadership.

• Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data used for strategic planning.

• Support the development and implementation of strategic projects by providing timely insights and analysis.

• Stay updated on industry trends, data analytics tools, and best practices to enhance data analysis capabilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field.

• Strong proficiency in data analytics tools such as SQL, Python, R, or Power BI.

• Experience with statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and data visualization techniques.

• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear, concise manner.

• Attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

• Knowledge of the energy sector or utility industry is a plus.

Experience

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or strategic planning roles.

• Proven track record of working with large datasets and delivering actionable insights to senior management.

• Experience in using data to drive business decisions and support strategic initiatives.

Working Hours

• Full-time position, Monday to Friday.

• Standard office hours with flexibility depending on project requirements.
