Job Summary

Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd, South Africas leading energy utility, is offering an exciting Supply Chain Management Learnership 2026 designed to develop the next generation of procurement and logistics professionals. This program provides structured on-the-job training, mentorship, and theoretical learning to equip learners with the skills, knowledge, and practical experience required for a successful career in supply chain management.

Participants will gain exposure to the full spectrum of supply chain functions, including procurement, logistics, contract management, supplier relations, and inventory control. This learnership is ideal for individuals who are motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to contributing to South Africas energy sector.


Key Responsibilities

As a Supply Chain Management Learnership participant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in procurement processes, including sourcing, quotation analysis, and supplier evaluation.

  • Supporting the management of contracts, ensuring compliance with Eskoms policies and regulations.

  • Participating in inventory management and stock control activities.

  • Assisting in logistics coordination and supply chain optimization initiatives.

  • Contributing to reporting, data analysis, and continuous improvement projects within the supply chain function.

  • Learning and adhering to Eskoms governance, procurement policies, and regulatory requirements.

  • Actively participating in formal training sessions, workshops, and mentorship programs.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • National Senior Certificate (Matric) with strong academic results.

  • Preference will be given to candidates with a National Diploma or Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, or related fields.

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.


Experience

  • No prior work experience is required; this is an entry-level learnership aimed at developing skills in supply chain management.

  • Internship or voluntary exposure to administrative, procurement, or logistics tasks will be an advantage.


Working Hours

  • Standard Eskom working hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday).

  • Flexibility may be required depending on departmental needs and training schedules.
