Job Summary

Amazon is seeking highly motivated, results-driven individuals to join our Area Manager 2026 – Operations Leadership Trainee program. This role is designed to develop the next generation of operations leaders by providing hands-on experience in managing large-scale fulfillment, logistics, and distribution operations.

As an Area Manager Trainee, you will play a critical role in leading teams, optimizing operational performance, and ensuring world-class customer fulfillment. Through structured training, mentorship, and real-world leadership exposure, you will gain the skills and experience needed to take on senior operations leadership roles within Amazons global network.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop frontline associates and team leads to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and cost targets

  • Oversee daily operations within a fulfillment, sortation, or delivery station

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Amazon operational excellence tools

  • Ensure compliance with Amazons safety standards, policies, and procedures

  • Analyze operational data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and improvement opportunities

  • Manage shift planning, labor allocation, and workflow optimization

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work culture

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Safety, Engineering, and Support teams

  • Lead change initiatives and support new process implementations

  • Act as an owner for operational performance during assigned shifts


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proven problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment

  • High level of ownership, accountability, and customer obsession

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Willingness to work in a 24/7 operational environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays


Experience

  • Bachelors or Masters degree (2024–2026 graduates preferred) in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Prior internship, co-op, or leadership experience in operations, manufacturing, logistics, or retail is an advantage

  • Fresh graduates with strong leadership potential are encouraged to apply


Working Hours

  • Full-time role with rotational shifts

  • May include day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts based on operational requirements

  • Flexibility is essential to support a 24/7 operations environment
