We are currently highlighting several opportunities for Factory Workers in Canada that include Employer-Specific Work Permit Sponsorship. These roles are essential to Canadas manufacturing and food processing sectors, particularly in provinces like Ontario, British Columbia, and Alberta.
As a Factory Worker, you will be responsible for the physical handling of goods, operating machinery, and ensuring quality control on the production line. These roles are often part of the Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP), designed to fill labor shortages with international talent.
Line Assembly: Assembling components or packaging finished products at a steady pace to meet production targets.
Machine Operation: Feeding raw materials into automated machinery and monitoring for malfunctions or jams.
Quality Inspection: Visually checking products for defects, weight discrepancies, or packaging errors before they are shipped.
Material Handling: Moving heavy crates or pallets using manual tools or forklifts (with proper certification).
Safety Compliance: Adhering to strict Canadian Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards, including the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Education: High school diploma (Secondary school) is generally the minimum requirement.
Experience: While some roles are entry-level, 6–12 months of previous factory or warehouse experience is highly preferred.
Language: Functional English or French (CLB 4 or 5) to ensure you can understand safety instructions and communicate with supervisors.
Physical Fitness: Ability to stand for long periods (8–10 hours) and lift weights up to 20kg (50 lbs).
Clear Background: Ability to pass a medical exam and provide a clean police clearance certificate for the visa process.
For a Canadian employer to hire you, they must typically follow the LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) process. This document proves that no Canadian citizen or permanent resident was available to fill the position.
Location: Rural and Urban manufacturing hubs across Canada.
Salary: Average starting wages range from $17.00 to $22.00 CAD per hour, depending on the province and shift.
Contract Duration: Usually 12 to 24 months, with the possibility of renewal.
Overtime: Many factories offer time-and-a-half (1.5x) pay for hours worked beyond 40 per week.
Health Insurance: Employers often provide private insurance until you become eligible for provincial healthcare (e.g., OHIP in Ontario).
Workplace Safety: Coverage under the Workers Compensation Board (WCB).
Path to Permanent Residency (PR): Experience gained in these roles may qualify you for the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) or the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).
