CVS Health is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Remote Pharmacy Technician to support our pharmacy operations through accurate data entry and order processing. This role is pivotal in ensuring that prescriptions are processed efficiently, patient records are maintained accurately, and pharmacy operations comply with all regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will combine technical proficiency with a strong commitment to patient care, working collaboratively within a virtual team environment.
Accurately process prescription orders and manage electronic pharmacy records.
Perform data entry for prescription information, patient profiles, and insurance details.
Verify prescription accuracy and flag any discrepancies for pharmacist review.
Assist in managing inventory data, including ordering, receiving, and documenting pharmaceutical supplies.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and CVS Health pharmacy policies.
Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare providers to resolve prescription-related issues.
Support continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency in remote pharmacy operations.
Provide timely updates on order status and escalate critical issues appropriately.
High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree or Pharmacy Technician certification preferred.
Strong understanding of pharmacy terminology, prescription processing, and medical records.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and pharmacy management software.
Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for remote collaboration.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold professional ethics in all patient interactions.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician, preferably in a retail or healthcare setting.
Experience with remote work, telecommunication, or virtual team collaboration is a plus.
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems or pharmacy management systems is preferred.
Full-time, remote position.
Flexible scheduling may be required, including occasional evenings or weekends based on operational needs.
Standard shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (may vary depending on business requirements).
Knowledge of pharmacy regulations, HIPAA compliance, and insurance processing procedures.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a remote environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address discrepancies with minimal supervision.
