Walmart is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Global Data Analyst – Supply Chain to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. In this role, you will leverage data-driven insights to optimize global supply chain operations, enhance efficiency, and support strategic decision-making. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including logistics, procurement, and inventory management, to analyze complex datasets, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations. Collect, clean, and analyze large-scale supply chain data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for operational improvement.
Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights to business stakeholders.
Support forecasting, demand planning, and inventory optimization through advanced analytics.
Collaborate with global teams to ensure alignment of supply chain processes and performance metrics.
Perform root cause analysis for supply chain disruptions and recommend data-backed solutions.
Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) across procurement, logistics, and distribution networks.
Contribute to automation and data integration projects to improve the accuracy and efficiency of reporting systems.
Provide ad hoc analytical support for strategic projects and business initiatives.
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data analysis and modeling.
Expertise in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
Solid understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to present findings effectively to global stakeholders.
2–5 years of relevant experience in data analytics, supply chain, operations, or a related field.
Experience working with large datasets in a global or multi-regional context is highly preferred.
Prior experience in retail, e-commerce, or logistics industries is a plus.
Full-time, 40–45 hours per week.
Standard office hours with flexibility to accommodate global meetings and project deadlines.
Strong business acumen with a clear understanding of supply chain dynamics.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and consistency in data analysis.
Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in collaborative teams.
Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) is an advantage.
