As an Airport Operations Coordinator for the Emirates Group (dnata), you are the central hub for real-time decision-making at one of the world busiest aviation hubs. This role sits at the intersection of logistics, passenger services, and flight safety. You will be responsible for coordinating the complex turnaround process of aircraft, ensuring that every department—from catering and cleaning to fueling and baggage—works in perfect synchronization to hit strict departure targets.
Turnaround Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for the flight crew and ground departments to ensure On-Time Performance (OTP).
Resource Allocation: Monitor and adjust the deployment of ground support equipment (GSE) and manpower based on real-time flight delays or early arrivals.
Safety Oversight: Conduct safety audits on the ramp during operations to ensure compliance with Emirates Group and international aviation safety standards.
Problem Resolution: Quickly troubleshoot operational bottlenecks, such as missing baggage, technical faults, or passenger boarding delays.
Data Reporting: Use the Emirates Hub Control systems to input real-time data regarding flight status, delay codes, and service completion.
Stakeholder Liaison: Coordinate with Dubai Airports (DA), Dubai Customs, and Immigration to ensure a smooth flow for transit and terminating passengers.
Experience: 2–4 years of experience in Airport Operations, Ground Handling, or Flight Dispatch.
Education: High School Diploma is the minimum requirement; a Bachelor degree in Aviation Management or Logistics is highly preferred.
Language: Professional fluency in English is mandatory (Level 4 ICAO standard).
Technical Skills: Familiarity with Departure Control Systems (DCS) like Altea or Sabre, and Hub Monitoring tools.
License: A valid UAE Driving License is often required for airside driving permits (ADP).
Decision Making: Ability to make split-second decisions in a high-pressure, loud, and fast-moving environment.
Communication: Clear, concise radio and verbal communication skills.
Resilience: Ability to work outdoors on the ramp during the UAE summer and manage physically demanding shifts.
Location: Dubai International Airport (DXB) or Dubai World Central (DWC).
Schedule: Rotational shift work (12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays).
