We are looking for detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Remote Transcriptionists. In this role, you will listen to audio recordings and convert them into written text documents. This is a great opportunity for those who have excellent listening skills and a fast typing speed but may not have a formal college degree. We prioritize accuracy, grammar, and the ability to meet deadlines over academic credentials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Audio Transcription: Listen to various audio files (interviews, podcasts, legal proceedings, or medical dictations) and type exactly what is heard.

• Editing & Formatting: Review transcribed text for spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors while following specific style guides.

• Timestamping: Insert time markers into the transcript to help users locate specific parts of the audio.

• Confidentiality: Handle sensitive information with the utmost privacy and adhere to non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).

• Research: Quickly look up technical terms, names, or locations mentioned in the audio to ensure correct spelling.

Requirements:

• Experience: No prior experience or degree is needed; however, you must pass a transcription skills test.

• Language Skills: Native or near-native proficiency in English (or the language you are transcribing).

• Listening Ability: A sharp ear for deciphering different accents and filtering out background noise.

• Typing Speed: Minimum of 50–60 WPM to maintain productivity.

• Attention to Detail: Ability to distinguish between similar-sounding words and use correct punctuation.

Technical Requirements:

• Equipment: High-quality noise-canceling headphones and a reliable computer.

• Software: Familiarity with transcription software (like Express Scribe, oTranscribe, or Otter.ai) is helpful.

• Internet: Stable, high-speed internet connection for downloading large audio/video files.

• Foot Pedal: (Optional but recommended) A USB foot pedal to control audio playback while typing.

Work Details:

• Shift: Flexible / Freelance. You choose the files you want to work on and set your own hours.

• Location: 100% Remote (Global).

• Compensation: Usually paid per Audio Minute or Audio Hour. High earners are typically those who can type quickly and accurately.

• Payment: Weekly or bi-weekly via PayPal or direct deposit.
